Winter will be here before we know it, but for now, we are cozily celebrating Thanksgiving in just one day! Aren't you excited? I know I am! I am one of theose nutty "made-from-scratch" women who love to cook, so I am creating a full holiday spread for just my mini family. I look forward to calling my mom and going over the recipes (loosely, as with most cooks there are no actual recipes), making those last minute shopping trips which I declare, every year, that I won't do. Preparing for the amped up night of Black Friday (Thursday???) and salivating over all of the deals which Charlie Brown Thanksgiving plays in the background. Perfection!

So in honor of the upcoming celebration of Christ's birthday, I decided it's time again for our (now annual) BIG Christmas Tutu Set Giveaway!

Similar to my previous tutu set giveaways, I will also be awarding a 2nd place runner up Christmas hair bow. I am jumping-up-and-down-excited about this and cannot wait to create this tutu set for the winner!

The set includes: a two layered tutu in the colors green, white, and red and a matching hairbow, as shown. This tutu will be ONLY created in sizes infant - 5T, so please keep that in mind when entering.

How has 2014 been treating you so far?

I have to tell ya, that if you were to ask me the same question, I would have to plead the fifth.

Life has been a little topsy-turvy for my family. First off, my hubby had been sick all during the Christmas break with the flu. On New Year's Day I was in the ER (thank goodness for antibiotics) and recently two of our kitties were under the weather (again, antibiotics are our BFFs)!! At the end of January, we unexpectedly lost a sweet family member on my hubby's side from cancer.  All in all, it has been a bit challenging to say the least. The great thing about hurdles, though, is overcoming them. That's the promise that God gives us: that no matter what trials we face, we will overcome them. I like the sound of that!

The great news is that Lil' Stinker is still enjoying his martial arts classes (thank goodness), I'm still sewing like a spider, and our home-school room (a.k.a. our dining room) is getting a makeover. I'll be posting some photos of that soon. It's been both a frustrating AND arduous task, but I cannot wait to see it all finished and prettified (yep, I just made that up).
